Concept: Create a branded environment to showcase Spaces, Facebook’s new social media and virtual reality product.
At the annual Developer Conference – F8 2017, Facebook launched a new social media and virtual reality product, Spaces. The first truly interactive social media platform experienced in Virtual Reality. Facebook wanted to create a branded environment incorporating social media experience in the realm of virtual reality and featured brand ambassadors engaging the attendees, in pairs, through this innovative state-of-the-art activation.
One of the challenges for this project was to provide sound separation without a creating a sense of isolation for the participants. To accomplish this, FG|PG designed and produced two unique solutions for the VR demo spaces; 1) incorporated framed glass walled structures and the second featured multi-pod kiosks. Both solutions featuring separate “Spaces” for each individual attendee and brand ambassador. FG|PG designed advanced technology integration into both solutions in order to seamlessly support this high-tech VR and social media experiential activation.
