Project: GDC 2017
Concept: Repurpose and update the existing 50′ x 70′ double deck structure to incorporate increased demo space, and subtle brand nuances of parent company, facebook.
FGPG continues to tell the Oculus story by transforming their existing and already visually bold, double deck booth to have a more casual open concept. Upstairs included meeting rooms giving an executive vibe while downstairs was more product experience and title oriented. FGPG designed downstairs to be extra exposed, giving clear visibility of activity and game demonstration, therefore constructing a more approachable and immersive experience. Along with the eclectic furnishings was a wall of succulents to give a relaxed natural esthetic. Large LED monitors were added to the exterior of the exhibit booth to powerfully promote game title art for immediate brand recognition and engagement.
An enhance VIP attendee experience was created in a separate 30 x 40 space designed and strategically placed directly adjacent to the large 60 x 100 booth. The open Executive Lounge floor plan featured product demos, catering and even a bar.
All in all, the immersive environment was inviting and engaging for attendees, encouraging guests to truly experience virtual reality and the Oculus brand.
