Project: Intermodal Association of North America
Client: CIMC
Producer: FG|PG
Concept:  Unveil a revolutionary chassis for CIMC

CIMC is the world’s largest manufacturer of intermodal container chassis. They have revolutionized the intermodal industry by creating the most innovative and durable chassis on the market. With laser metal cutting, robotic precision welds and a KTL powder coat paint system that prevents rust and corrosion there is no better choice than CIMC. And yet they have found a way to make their chassis even better!

At this year’s IANA Expo in Long Beach, California CIMC unveiled their latest innovation, The Revere chassis. Taking a cue from its namesake, The Revere was designed to start an intermodal revolution. By partnering with key suppliers Phillips, PPG, SAF Holland, Hutchens, TSE Brakes, Accuride, and Bendix, CIMC was able to create the most cutting-edge and longest guaranteed standard chassis in the business.

CIMC worked with FG|PG to design and produce a trade show experience to ring in this momentous occasion in style. The main reveal took place in the center of the booth amid roaring applause and cheers from customers, suppliers, and press. Country music star Karen Waldrup was brought in to deliver a champagne toast and kick off the celebration.

The Revere chassis was the main attraction and being such a substantial piece of equipment required only a few architectural elements to present messaging and draw in crowds upon entering the exhibit hall. In order to meet the objectives of CIMC, we created four 16 FT columns and a circular hanging sign with messaging visible from a distance. We designed a large backlit “L” shaped reception counter to receive the considerable number of attendees wanting to get a peek at the best chassis on the market. Once in the exhibit, attendees were able to get hands-on with the new Revere, take a virtual reality tour of CIMC facilities in the VR Lounge, and get deep product specific demos in a semi-private meeting area that featured a pair of 55” displays.

The launch fo The Revere was a stunning success for CIMC. Their exhibit supported the new chassis with both strength and substance. Large pillars, backlit dimensional logos, a hanging sign, bold reception counter, and ample meeting spaces enabled CIMC’s numerous team members to find and connect with their respective clients and prospects in an environment that reflected their position as leaders of the Intermodal Revolution.
