Meet The Team
Founder & CEO
When Frédérique “Freddie” Georges was a little girl, her parents would constantly return home to a redecorated house. Not once, not twice but all the time. Freddie’s creative passion for “home” work was an ongoing occurrence that her parents came to expect — and eventually, enjoy.
Born in Bagdad, Iraq, Freddie immigrated to the United States at the age of ten and became an American citizen at seventeen. She describes herself as a citizen of the world, attributing her creativity, work ethic and worldviews to the multicultural influences in her life including and especially her maternal French and paternal Armenian heritage.
In 1981, Freddie Georges began her career with Design and Production, Inc., a museum and visitor center design company with a vision to become a museum designer. During her first interview when asked, “What are your long term goals?” she immediately responded that she wanted to own her own company. Ten years later, Freddie accomplished this goal when she founded Premier Displays and Exhibits with several colleagues. Over time, she began to realize that emerging technology, clients’ demand for innovative and cost saving solutions, created a shifting paradigm in the world of exhibits and events. As a result of over twenty years in the industry, Freddie recognized this as the opportunity to provide an alternative approach to business by creating a unique balance between complimentary disciplines.
She designed and launched Freddie Georges Production Group (FG|PG) and The Shop@Showready to be an integrated solution for creative design and custom fabrication.
The YIN AND YANG APPROACH:
FG|PG is a client-focused experiential marketing agency offering a suite of capabilities to design and produce experiential activations, exhibits and events. These capabilities include award winning design, creative services, turnkey logistics, account and project management; The Shop@Showready provides in-house custom fabrication, featuring engineering, carpentry, metal works, scenic design and paint, large format graphics plus warehousing and inventory control. Resulting in an artful balance between creative design and production, a seamless reflection of the woman who inspired them both.
Melanie J. Chomchavalit
Co-Founder & CFO
With the passion to organize, manage and direct, Melanie Chomchavalit always knew she wanted to become a businesswoman. She attended California State University, Long Beach and graduated with a BS in Business Administration in 1998. Her first job after college was at Premiere Displays as Freddie Georges’ sales assistant.
In 2000, Melanie jumped at the opportunity to assist Freddie and her partner with the launch of FormDecor by serving as the accounting associate. Melanie thrived in this position, finding it rewarding to manage and oversee financials.
In 2001, Melanie joined Freddie in launching Freddie Georges Production Group as the sales assistant and accounting manager. She became operating partner and started serving as CFO in 2002. Melanie also serves as a director and the secretary on the board of directors.
Outside of work, Melanie has a very active personal life where she joyfully manages as a wife and mother of three.
